Majoring in ocean engineering, she is President of the FAU Society for Women Engineers (SWE).

The 2009 ITWomen CIO Celebrity Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament and Casino Night Scholarship Fundraiser held November 19 has raised more than $44,000 for the ITWomen Charitable Foundation’s scholarship program. The Scholarship Program supports South Florida women who are pursuing college degrees in technology and engineering. The Foundation’s scholarship program is part of ITWomen’s mission to narrow the gender gap in technology.

The 2009 fundraiser recognized South Florida CIOs. Scholarship applicants are selected from graduating seniors in South Florida high schools from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
